Kris & Emily >> Day After

Okay…technically this session wasn’t the “day after” their wedding day.  More like “two weeks after”.  After their honeymoon.  And it was a beautiful day to do this session!  It was great seeing Kris and Emily and catching up.  And RIGHT when we started their session, I KNEW they were clients of mine. They eased back into it like pros. They were instantly comfortable in front of my camera and ready to have a great time!  Check out some of my favorites below!

Okay… so I was going to try something new because I never bring my tripod to my sessions.  It tends to slow me down with the way I like to photograph.  But always wanting to do something new, I wanted to put some motion into at least one photo.  My first attempt didn’t go so well but I still love the artistic nature of it…

Ahhh… much better.  LOVE IT!

These next two I love for different reasons. I’m going to let you all vote on which one you love more!

Kris saw his shadow and immediately knew I saw it too and knew what I wanted to do.  Love it when my clients and I are on the same page!

The self portraits!

Kris and Emily, thank you so much for coming all the way from Knoxville to hang out with me again! Loved every second of it.  You two are truly awesome!

What other’s are saying

Something subtle, yet powerful, happens when I look at Bo. There’s an energy present that is very real and felt only between the two of us. It is the connection we have with each other, embodying all that brought us together and the love we share. I imagine that most people assume it’s there, but no one actually looks for it. Except you. Instead of taking pictures of the two of us, you capture what is between us. It is a profound gift that you have, Rich, to catch meaning in a glance or love in a touch. Thank you so much for sharing your gift with us. - Rebekah Hughes
