Kelly & Josh » Chattanooga Wedding Photography

When I met with Kelly and Josh for the first time just a couple of days before their wedding, I didn’t know what to expect.  They had flown from their home in Colorado to have their wedding at the beautiful Lindsay Street Hall!  My first thought when seeing them: “Dude, Josh is TALL!”  Since I’m 6’3″, I don’t get to say that much.  My second thought: “Kelly’s going to make a beautiful bride!”  And after spending some time with them, I loved how easy going and fun they were!

They needed that easy going personality on their wedding day.  Nothing seemed to have been going right.  It was hot and it began raining.  Then when it stopped, it was hot and VERY humid. And then, a first for me, the power at the ceremony site went off…and remained off until the ceremony was over! We had to switch plans a lot and just make things up along the way.  During the glitches, nothing phased them at all.  It was WONDERFUL working with them.  And you’ll see it on their faces below how much they were truly enjoying themselves with all of their friends and family!

These next two photos were taken by my wonderful second shooter for the day, Jamie Kowalski! Loved how well she captured Kelly and her dad’s relationship!

These photos were taken with just dim ambient light coming from the green stain glass windows from Patton Chapel.  It was really dark! Green light never makes peoples skin look healthy but thankfully black and white photos look amazing in there!
