Kenny and Katie: Married!

Sometimes a blog post is so personal that it’s hard to know where to begin. This wedding and the people present mean so much to Rich and myself. This is our church, these are our people. They’ve encouraged us, prayed for us, cried with us, and served with us. We don’t know what we’d do without our church, Calvary Chapel Chattanooga, and we certainly don’t know what we’d do without these people who are such a crucial part of it.

I went into a bit of our relational history with Kenny in my blog post of Kenny and Katie’s engagement photos a couple of weeks ago, and now that they are married, we have some very meaningful photos to share with you. Kenny and Katie, we could not be happier for you! We are honored to have documented your day, witnessed your vows, watched your commitment, and now we are excited to present you with images we hope you’ll enjoy for a lifetime.

Because I know that the continuation of this story is special to so many, I am excited to share some of our favorites from this intimate, precious wedding on Saturday.

Here are the talented vendors who made their day as beautiful as it was:

Dessert Bar: A.W. Sweets
Ceremony Musicians: As Isaac

Kenny and Katie’s first look was one for the books. It had Rich and I misty-eyed while we documented…

We grabbed a minute for a couple of selfies with Kenny and Katie, and I’m so glad we did. Now I need to dig up the photo of me and Rich with Kenny at our wedding! He officiated our wedding 13 years ago this August and did a phenomenal job; and we are so honored to have been able to document his wedding all these years later!

My duck face leaves MUCH to be desired. I need lessons. Duck face lessons.

No need to post the “normal” formal family portrait on the blog when there’s THIS…

We aren’t sure what Kenny said to Gus during the ceremony, but Rich was close enough to capture this image of how he was looking at Kenny, and the next thing I knew Rich looked like he was going to LOSE IT. We are used to photographing through emotional moments, but this was almost too much for Rich. He had to regain his composure in order to keep shooting! Such a special moment between these two guys.
