Cameron and I have known each other for a long time. He’s a fellow photographer and does an amazing job. So, he knows a lot of photographers. A lot. Which made me so honored when he approached me after he proposed to Hillary to let me know that he wanted me to document their wedding!
The wedding itself was perfect. The weather. The atmosphere. The energy. The fun. The love. Everything. I was so busy running around capturing awesome moments that were happening around me that I was exhausted by the end of the day! I LOVE it that way! The entire day went by so quickly!
Cameron and Hillary, congratulations! Heather and I hope that you enjoy this sneak peak with a handful of images from your incredible day, but many more coming soon! Enjoy that Italian honeymoon and we will see you when you return!
I interviewed Cameron and Hillary and selected some great responses to share with you in this blog post. Enjoy!
Rich: If you could have one character trait of Camerons, which would it be & why?
Hillary: Courage. He’s basically fearless, and it’s the coolest thing to watch. He loves a good adventure and is willing to take big risks to have a good time – like flying around curves in his Subaru or snowboarding on crazy difficult routes. He can’t wait for the next adventure, and it’s pretty inspiring.
Rich: What stands out the most about your proposal?
Cameron: We got engaged during the eclipse. It’s such a rare occurrence. Just like finding someone to spend the rest of your life with. Now, both the area we got engaged and the idea of eclipses are very special to us. Can’t wait to take a trip for the 2024 eclipse!
Hillary: Well the moon was covering the sun, sooo that was pretty epic.
Rich: Hillary, what’s one of the wildest/most adventurous things you’ve ever done with Cameron?
Hillary: Sometimes we stay out past 10 pm! Haha
Rich: When is Hillary at their best / happiest / most fulfilled?
Cameron: She is most fulfilled when she is pouring Christ into her small group girls. She’s great at it.
Rich: Hillary, same question.
Hillary: Thats hard to say. There are a lot of things that make him happy. I think if I HAD to pick one thing, it’d be when he’s traveling. He absolutely loves to see new places and experience the world. I’m pretty pumped that we get to do that as husband and wife!
Rich: What is the sweetest thing Cameron has ever done for you?
Hillary: After I had surgery and I was doped up on drugs, I asked him to read me a Harry Potter book. He did NOT want to do it, but didn’t put up a fight. Then he spent the next two days hanging out with me when I felt (and looked) pretty terrible. I’ve always been afraid of being a burden to people when I’m sick, so it meant the world to me that he stuck around.
Rich: Why did you fall in love with each other?
Cameron: She’s always putting others at top priority, has a hard time being mean to anyone (I super don’t), she isn’t confrontational, is very passionate about her areas of interest, is active and loves adventure, it’s hard NOT to love someone who is always in my corner.
Hillary: The way he loves the Lord and his huge servants heart. The one thing I always wanted in a husband was a heart for serving others and Cameron has exactly that.
Rich: What’s one endearing thing about each other that only someone who knows you very well would know?
Hillary: He’ll go out of his way to make you feel loved. Details are a big deal, and he won’t hesitate to do a little extra research or thinking to make sure you feel entirely cared for.
Cameron: She does a little skip hop when she’s really excited. She doesn’t do it often, or for many people.
